My wife, Frannie, has been blind from birth. I had continued to work even while having radiation and chemo treatments but was let go from my security guard job after a severe pain attack at work. I am 67 years old but my small social security check does not cover the mobile home payment, lot rent and other living expenses. We don’t have any mortgage life insurance protection or any other life insurance. Frannie had been able to earn some money for us during the holidays by playing the keyboard at a local store which has now gone out of business and she hasn’t had any luck getting anyone else to hire her. I just cant believe the stuff people write. Al Pacino is just a human being like you and me. He is not a God and shouldn't be worshiped. I think he is a very nice person and a wonderful actor who has entertained us all, and I really like him. Love him? This has since been redesigned to be flexible. It was encouraging to see one person could not remove it. It is loose enough installed, that it cannot be cut with a hacksaw, since it is made with good strong steel. The lock cannot be frozen because it is incased with steel and a small air space. These men ! tried with hammers and feet to remove it and only exhausted themselves. Since joy rides and theft of vehicles for the purpose of committing a crime are the main reasons for general auto theft, I know this will be a very good and secure type of vehicle theft deterrent. I have a U.S. patent and applied for an international patent with the help of a company in Ireland, who have done up for me a confidential research report, on North America, and Europe and are at this time trying to find manufactures all around the world that would be interested in building this device that I call "Brake Lock. There is some simple electronics that serve as a trade mark, as well as takes care of the brake light problem. I recently have had interest from England and Illinois and hope to get a positive response from them. Auto theft is a huge problem everywhere. I know it will make a difference. I am a fan of Pacino from Greece. Michael Mann is going to film a movie about the battle of Thermopylae, one of the most important battles in history of western civilisation. I talked with many people and we all agree that the role of the king of Spatra, Leonidas, who led 300 Greeks against 1 million Persians should be given to Al Pacino. He is the only one who could comprehend the importance of that battle. He is also the only one who can handdle this very difficult role. Nobody else can pull it through. The candidates for the role (I cannot use their names because I do not want to seem hostile towards them) are not even at the right age! Leonidas was 60 years old when the battle took place. On February 5, 1999, my son passed away. He was 14 years 9 months & 14 days. He's gone forever except from my heart and the depths of my soul. My son "Mikey" (Michael Shawn Parrish) was the fourth student of the 1998-1999 eighth grade class of the Kountze Middle School, located in Kountze, Hardin County, Texas to die leaving such a huge and unfillable void.

Celine Dion sang that she believes that the heart goes on and I do so believe this also because the heart signifies all the best that life has to offer. It somehow finds the strength to endure life’s worst. I have come to discover that the contents of the heart is by far the only thing that will last when we’ve passed on and somehow life finds a way to allow only that which is good to withstand the ceaseless marching of time. Our lives last only a short while, a whisper in an era, a mere breath in a season, a single heartbeat in an age. Many times we easily take the existence of our loved ones for granted, especially our children, because subconsciously we tell ourselves that they will always be there. Parents pass on before their children because it’s the natural order of things, however, life is about disorder and overwhelming odds. We take each day one day at a time and we perservere, adapt, overcome and improvise. Each of us try to do whatever we think is right or best at the time, and we make mistakes. We fail. But we learn and we pass on what we’ve learned to all who will listen in hopes that others will learn from our errors. I have but one bit of advice to pass on to all of those who will listen. And I ask you to listen with your hearts because your hearts will tell your minds that this is the right thing to do. Above all, except your God, place your family first. Careers, work, hobbies, none of these are moreso important than your families, than your children, your mothers, your fathers. They say that time marches on and it stops for no one but I assure you that when that beloved family member is gone forever it will most definitely stop for you and you will find that your career, your work, your hobbies had no meaning. You will remember all of the times that you could have spent just a little more time with that parent or that child and you didn’t. My message is not complex, convoluted, nor enigmatic. It’s simply this; Parents, love and cherish your children...........Children, love and cherish your parents.

To share the love that I have for my son with you I have attached the poem that I wrote and inscribed on the back of his headstone. The police code included (10-42) means ending a tour of duty. Also included is a police unit number that I had jokingly assigned to him at age 13. It reads as follows;

From the age of seven you lived the life of a cop. You walked the beat that many kids could not. You touched the hearts of everyone you knew, But before your goals were met an angel came for you. You completed your tour of duty in this mortal plane, And in the arms of an angel you left behind your pain. The memory of those wonderful, beautiful, soulful eyes Has moved so many to change their own lives. You believed that everyone should serve and protect, And you reached out to all without neglect. You carried the burdens that others could not, And smiled through the tears without a thought. You have the soul of a cop that will live on in so many ways, And you did it all in only 14 years, 9 months, 14 days. Now the beat that you’re walking is paved with gold. You’ll never grow lonely, you’ll never grow cold. You’ll assist St. Michael, our patron Saint. Checking the security of those pearly gates. I know that you’ll look in on us all from time to time, But I want you to know that we’re going to be just fine. As you told me before you began your spiritual flight, Before “Officer Down” was called on that fateful night. You said you’d meet me again sometime, somewhere. Your word was your bond and I know you’ll be there. I’ll be able to see that blissful smile and we’ll both radio dispatch 10-42. When that time comes I know we will both have done all we could do. From your mother, your brothers, your sisters and your dad. You’re the greatest son and brother that anyone could have ever had. Rest in Jesus’ loving arms and I’ll pray that this rule will be made, That God will always allow KPD Unit #100 to roller blade. To my son, my brother, and the best friend I ever had, These words are from my heart, they’re the heart of your dad. Only happy souls reside in this place where you are, And I know that God has made you the Keeper of the Stars.

This work gives me some sort of fulfillment in that I am refusing to allow the memory of my son and these other precious children die along with them so if you can't send an autograph just for me I would truly and sincerely appreciate something to be auctioned for the youth center. I have been a fan for years and recently read your biography by Andrew Yule. You are truly an amazing human being. Keep up the great work in theatre. The future lies within the hands of our youth and what you are doing for them by recreating the works of Mr. Shakespeare is remarkable and you are to be commended for this. I can't tell you enough how us fans thank you for all you have done and continue to do. Myself, I have committed to helping at my children's school to bring the theatre and the Arts to them. I really don't believe that you will ever read this and I have even talked with your agent Rick Nacita and Pat Kingsly your publicist but I will write this in hopes that you can see how you can transform one's perspective in such a way that it makes the theatre nothing less than what you once quoted from an interview you did following "Hughie"....where you said that you thought the theatre experience is "a religious experience"....yet I can identify more as a director myself, with the quote from "Looking For Richard"..."I'm confused just explaining it, so I can imagine how you must feel hearing me. It's very confusing and I don't know why we're even doing this at all."

DIn this age of unpredictable government funding, Aids Related Community Services of Orange and Sullivan Counties, The Middletown Community Health Center, Recap, and other organizations assisting persons with HIV and Aids must depend more and more on notable figures in the community and the community at large.

We ,at ZIPPERS!, the only gay and lesbian night club in Orange and Sullivan Counties, feel it is necessary for us to do our part, so we are holding an Aids Benefit on Sunday September 3, 2000, Labor Day Weekend to assist these organizations in Orange and Sullivan Counties.

This area is very familiar with the energy and sincerity these organizations have brought forth to the HIV positive and the Aids communities and are surely deserving of any financial relief in their ongoing efforts in awareness and education, support, and assistance in legal issues. Many of the officers of these organizations have gone above and beyond the call of duty for their clients.

We do need your support. We need your attendance at our Benefit that takes place Sunday September 3, 2000, at ZIPPERS!. ZIPPERS! is located at 658 Route 211 East in Middletown. For directions please call (914) 692-9093, or (914) 692-6664. All are invited to attend. There will be live entertainment of various genre, and a buffet and barbecue. So we, at ZIPPERS! hope to see you all there. Remember this disease effects everyone.

We also need your help. We need donations of goods and services from the areas surrounding businesses for our raffle. So if you could find it in your heart to donate an item or two from your inventory, it would help in supporting these organizations that have helped so many people in so many ways.
